RAPid 4 overview
TTP LabTech’s RAPid 4 is a system for label-free interaction analysis, producing the highest quality data in real-time using acoustic technology. The detection of molecular interactions through acoustic technology offers users substantial advantages over optical biosensors. For instance, RAPid 4 enables concentration measurement over a large dynamic range in complex samples that may contain impurities like solvents, serum or growth media.

RAPid 4 has four flow cells for the parallel analysis of test samples. Automated sample handling, precise temperature control and state of the art analysis software allows hundreds of samples to be processed with minimal user intervention and generates data with excellent experimental reproducibility.

Currently, few technologies offer life scientists the ability to detect real-time kinetic data of this quality across such a broad range of samples, sample purity and sample concentrations.

RAPid 4 offers the following benefits: 

  • crude and complex sample analysis without purification 

  • 3 log dynamic range for concentration determination

  • parallel processing of 400 samples per day

  • measures only physical binding events 

  • insensitive to refractive index and colour changes
