Applications

TTP LabTech’s RAP  platform is a biosensor system for generating high quality, real-time affinity and concentration measurements.  This is achieved using label-free acoustic detection thus avoiding costly fluorescent- or radio-labelled reagents.

The platform can handle sample preparations ranging from complex (neat serum, urine, hybridoma supernatants or cell culture media), through to purified antigens, antibodies and receptors. This enables a wide range of molecular interactions and applications to be assessed, from protein profiling to bacterial and viral detection, peptides and DNA.

Use of the RAP platform extends from research, through biotherapeutic development and into preclinical studies, and includes the following key applications:

• optimisiation of recombinant protein and antibody affinities as biopharmaceuticals
• assessment of the concentration and integrity of proteins
• isotyping of antibodies and antigens
• immunogenicity studies
• improvement of protein expression, extraction and purification processes
• control of recombinant protein production processes.
