Micropipettes
mosquito’s unique disposable micropipettes for HTS, X1 and crystallization applications are made of inert materials have no effect on most reagents and are strong enough to pierce most plate sealing films. Their low cost can save as much as 50% on the price of other disposable tip technologies.
The micropipettes are shipped and loaded using a spool similar to a film reel. This provides extremely high density storage for 26,000 or 36,000 pipettes, and results in a huge reduction in plastic ware compared to traditional disposable tips. Reel changeover takes less than 2 minutes.
Protein crystallization
TTP LabTech also offer consumables specifically for protein crystallization. These include micro-reservoir strips for holding protein sample, low-cost plate seals for hanging drop set-ups, and a specialised triple drop 96-well plate.
The iQ plate has been created specifically for high throughput, low cost, low volume sitting drop protein crystallisation set-ups and is ideal for microseeding protocols. The plate offers:
- low reservoir volume (30 - 80 µL) to save on reagents
- optically clear, low bifringence plastic for UV imaging
- large area, flat bottom wells for optimal drop formation and crystal viewing
