Compact and secure compound storage

Each self contained comPOUND^® module measures just 1.2m x 1.65m x 2.4m, offering you outstanding compound storage of up to 200,000 0.5mL samples per module.

To ensure compound integrity, samples are stored individually under nitrogen in a hermetically sealed chamber at a user-defined temperature ranging from -20°C to ambient. Compound storage is secure as every sample is tracked when placed and removed from store.  Sample storage in microtube format provides an advantage over plate storage, allowing cherry picking of only the samples of interest. This eliminates the need to subject every sample to unnecessary freeze/thaw cycles when a plate is removed.

Flexibility and reliability

comPOUND offers ultra high-speed cherry picking to retrieve individual microtubes or any library subset from store. By using pneumatics, this compound storage system minimises the number of moving parts within the modules controlled environment, thus greatly increasing reliability. Using similar pneumatic technology, TTP LabTech's comPANION enables samples to be delivered directly to the laboratory, while the store is housed elsewhere.

Capacity and throughput that grows with your requirements

Each individual comPOUND module can identify and deliver a sample in 5 seconds. When multiple modules are linked to increase compound storage, samples can be accessed from all modules simultaneously allowing processing speed and throughput to increase as your library grows.

Self-contained comPOUND modules can be sited anywhere and relocated easily if your laboratory requirements change thereby enhancing your compound management capabilities. Standard modules also have the option of being converted to double-density – holding up to 100,000 x 1.4mL microtubes or 200,000 x 0.5mL microtubes, or a mixture of both types. comPOUND's modularity and small footprint mean that this compound storage system can expand as your business grows, providing an integrated library of almost any size.
