The comPANION remote arrayer is an important component of the comPOUND
system and provides a means of transporting microtubes to and from single
or multiple comPOUND modules without using conveyors. It provides remote
sample retrieval that is easily configured to work with most robotic
systems and is flexible enough to be sited almost anywhere.
comPANION's small footprint means it can be sited within reach of a robot, alongside a reformatter, within the workspace of a liquid handling system, or on a conventional laboratory bench. It can be located up to 15m away from the parent store - in another room or even on a different floor - connecting your store to your laboratory without the expense of rebuilding. |

When comPANION is interfaced with multiple comPOUND modules, all connected comPOUND modules can be accessed at the same time. This means processing speed actually improves as storage modules are added. With two modules connected comPANION 1-2-4 is able to process over 6,500 cherry-picked microtubes in 8 hours. This rises to over 10,000 microtubes when four modules are connected. |
