The Role
TTP LabTech Ltd is seeking bright highly motivated software engineers to develop software for our growing range of laboratory instrumentation. The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering high quality software in the core areas of real time data acquisition, analysis, and control.
The Qualifications:
- Software Engineer with a 1st or a 2.1 degree.
- Object Oriented Design, C#, .NET, Windows.
- Experience of any of the following is desirable:
- C/C++, User interface design, SubVersion

European Sales Account Manager LT21 – TTP LabTech
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for market development and sales of the Acumen product line across Europe, targeting pharmaceutical, biotech and academic customers
- Hands on-presentation of the products when necessary
- Work in close co-ordination with colleagues in TTP LabTech - will interact frequently with Sales colleagues, Applications, Product Development/R&D, Marketing and Manufacturing
- Drive and lead sales of new products within TTP LabTech as they come online, including a re-launch planned for May2010 and new product introduction
- Contribute to the overall commerical development of TTP LabTech in order to ensure that the overall objectives and long term vision is achieved
Experience and Qualifications:
- Strong academic background - degree level in life science, ideally higher degree
- Credible understanding of the products and ability to represent them to customers, as well as comfortable with some hands-on demonstrations if necessary
- Experience of sales of high value, high technology instruments and solutions to the pharma/biotech/academic market. proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Management of long term sales process and understanding of the buying cycle for major capital equipment and the strategic sales approach required
- Ability to operate effectively within a multi-functional team - will interact with Applications, Product Development/R&D, Marketing and Manufacturing
- Established network across the UK and Europe, proven success and ability to develop business on an international level and adapt to the varied cultural demands of the customer base
- Must be self-motivated and self-sufficient, able to operate with minimum infrastructure
Key Competencies required:

US Field Application Scientist
This position will be based out of our Boston office. The successful candidate will act as the key interface between the US sales team and end-users to provide expert level product support functions in the field, at shows and at workshops.
In this expert capacity, you would be responsible for running either on-site instrument or remote instrument demos in addition to the dissemination of technical product knowledge, product applications and techniques and pertinent competitive product information to our sales channels and end-users in regards to the entire TTPL product range. You would also be responsible for providing and implementing training to new and existing customers in US/Canada.
Furthermore, the candidate will be required to gather feedback on product issues and summarize support issues and application trends to guide future product needs and developments with the timely dissemination of this information back to TTPLT headquarters.
The role will cover all the US/Canada, though some travel to Asia and Europe may be required.

Experience and qualifications:
Preferably a PhD in a Biological Science discipline
At least 2 years experience working in HTS, Assay Development laboratories
Knowledge of high content analysis (imaging and/or flow cytometry)
Good understanding of cell biology
Ability and willingness to travel extensively
Amiable personality
Experience of sales, marketing or customer service would be beneficial
