There is currently three vacancies at TTP LabTech:
Mechanical Assembly Technician - LT23
We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic individual to be responsible for sales from PA down to FL.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for market development and sales of the TTP LabTech product lines across US East Coast, targeting pharmaceutical, biotech and academic customers
- Hands on-presentation and demonstration of the products
- Report writing and SalesForce.com CRM database management
- Work in close co-ordination with colleagues in TTP LabTech - will interact frequently with Sales colleagues, Applications, Product Development/R&D, Marketing and Manufacturing
- Drive sales within the allocated territory by developing new accounts and managing existing client accounts
- Contribute to the overall commercial development of TTP LabTech in order to ensure that the overall objectives and long term vision is achieved
Experience and Qualifications:
- Strong academic background – bachelors degree in life science
- Credible understanding of the drug discovery process
- Experience of sales of high value, high technology instruments and solutions to the pharma/biotech/academic market. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Management of long term sales process and understanding of the buying cycle for major capital equipment and the strategic sales approach required
- Efficient and active communicator
- Ability to operate remotely, but effectively within a multi-functional team - will interact with Applications, Product Development/R&D, Marketing and Manufacturing in the UK
- Established network across the East Coast region
- Must be self-motivated, self-sufficient and able to operate with minimum infrastructure
Key Competencies required:
- At least 2 years sales experience within the life sciences industry
- Must be self-motivated and self-sufficient, able to operate autonomously
- Organized and efficient with good communication skills
- Flexible attitude to travel
- Enthusiastic, positive, can do attitude
- Honest, high level of integrity with customers. Must be able to gain respect and trust (internally and externally)
Mechanical Assembly Technician LT23
Qualifications
- Significant experience of assembling scientific instruments or other precision products
- Ability to perform basic testing and problem solving
- Ability to work accurately to procedures to produce work of consistent high quality
- Ability to liaise with design and development engineers
- Basic computer literacy
- (A background in tool making and competence in fine tolerance manual milling and turning would be an advantage)

Responsibilities
- To perform the following activities on Laser based instruments and related products:
- Factory Acceptance Testing to defined procedure
- Fault finding and simple rectification
- Accurate record keeping
- Ensure quality of products is maintained. This will include raising Engineering Change Notes, updating build documentation, liaising with other manufacturing personnel, liaising with Development personnel.
- Ensure products are properly packed and no items are missing
- Suggest and implement processes to improve quality
- To perform the same activities as a second line of cover on other products as determined by business needs.
Technical Experience
- Computer Literate
- Experience of testing precision instruments
- Experience of working with laser based instruments an advantage
- Educated to at least GCSE level.

- Able to work to deadlines

- Good attention to detail
- Flexible
